15 years in business

Today we mark a significant milestone for ATS – 15 years in business… Started on the 30^th July  2006 after our founder and MD Steve Delaney relocated to Ireland from the UK, the Trackway industry was still in its relative infancy in Europe back then with only Aluminium Trackway and bog mats as the only choice if you needed to traverse soft or sensitive ground.

Back then there were no trakmats or durradeck in Europe, euromats didn’t exist and even Durabase hadn’t made it over the water yet from our American counterparts. Yes, the trackway industry was a long way from what it is today. 

 

ATS in no small part has played a significant role in developing the industry to where it is today. We brought the trakmats into Europe from the U.S that kicked things off and then worked with our partners at Zigma to help design and developed the Euromat and Tufftrak mats which showed the industry that plastic is a viable alternative to other materials. More recently we developed the Emtek engineered wood mat into Europe, redefining size and use to better suit the European market and prove that engineered hardwoods are changing the bog mat sector. 

 

We have now worked in partnership to develop the L.H and X mat, creating products that are next-level engineering and innovation for the marketplace and are now introducing those products to a global audience as next-level performance, setting the bar with product performance, and making new friends as we go.

 

The last 15 years hasn’t always been plain sailing, through a global financial crisis, Brexit and now more recently the global covid pandemic we have had some speed bumps along the way, to say the least, but the hard work of all our staff past and present combined with the support of our partners and loyal customers the journey has been great. We've learned a lot by growing into the worlds leading independent matting and temporary access specialists and with still a lot more to come…
